Welcome to Cohn Adult High School

A young woman holds up her high school diploma. Welcome to Cohn Adult High School! Our school is a unique, one-of-a-kind educational facility that is wholly a part of Metro Nashville Public Schools. Located within the Cohn Adult Learning Center in West Nashville, CAHS is geared toward the continuing high school education of Nashville's adult community.

Cohn Adult High School offers individuals 18 or older the oppotunity to earn a regualr high school diploma.  Classes meet Monday- Thursday from 8 am- 2:30 pm.  There are no evening classes.  Sudents are required to attend class daily for a minimum of 2 hours.

All classes with the exception of ELL are work at your own pace using the A+ computer based educational system.  If a student remains dedicated to their work  it is possible to graduate before the normal 4 years.

Formal graduations are conducted for the December and May classes.

The faculty and staff of the high school are committed to guiding and teaching the student non-judgmentally as he or she moves towards the completion of the diploma that they began pursuing earlier in their lives. There are other programs located within the Cohn Adult Learning Center that are separate from the High School, but nonetheless offer wonderful opportunities to the public to continue their lifelong learning.

We invite you to visit our campus and check out the possibilities within our walls. Opportunities abound for the serious adult student, and a dedicated staff will help the student achieve his or her goals.
